Halloween is a holiday with a long history . It’s everyone’s favourite October holiday (sorry Thanksgiving), that time when you decorate your home and school with spiders and black cats, dress up in strange costumes, and get candy. The main tradition of Halloween is to dress up in a costume. Some kids go door to door in their neighbourhoods to trick or treat, but others celebrate at school or at parties in funny costumes.
The children in our school had a lot of fun today celebrating Halloween by throwing a “Pirates Party”. This was a huge success with fun activities that gave our third graders the opportunity to show off their costumes.
